This foundational apprenticeship provides tools to develop your connection to nature, spirit, and heartfelt community, offering a practical, compassionate path for navigating these times.
It is based on the teachings of don Oscar Miro-Quesada, founded upon the traditional teachings of Peruvian shamanism and the wisdom of its ancestral lineage. This apprenticeship is for everyone looking to develop their shamanic practice. It provides a profound initiation into the living heart and soul of the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition of cross-cultural shamanism.
“Pachakuti” means “world reversal” and refers to the time of transformation we are living now. A mesa is an altar for self-exploration, transformation, and personal growth in which we create a new paradigm of one’s relation to the Self and the Universe. This tradition, in all its richness, is an evolving practice of inner and outer activities that restore balance and harmony to our relationships with All That Is.
The Pachakuti Mesa Tradition: Cross-Cultural Shamanic Arts for Personal and Planetary Renewal is a three-part series of intensives in the shamanic arts of restoring harmony, health, and earth stewardship. This workshop series aligns the traditional shamanic arts of Peru and the wisdom of its heritage with the needs of the present day, a transformational moment of planetary and human history.

Part 1+2: September 25 – 29, 2026

September 25 – 27, 2026
This apprenticeship workshop initiates participants into the Pachakuti Mesa, a powerful and sacred altar. Students learn how to create their own mesas and work with them for self-empowerment, transformation, and helping others. Through shamanic journey and visionary states of consciousness, participants will explore the three worlds of the Andean cosmovision, sacred reciprocity with all that is, the core ingredients of ceremonial mastery, sacred sound and ritual language, healing, and curanderismo, and the inner world of the ukhupacha.

September 27 – 29, 2026
During this workshop intensive, participants will apprentice in the center direction of the mesa, traditional Peruvian healing practices, and the kaypacha, the middle world. They will explore the kaypacha’s elemental matrix and magico-spiritual power, and learn about the moon’s presence in the middle world, mapping the cosmos on Earth, and celestial death and rebirth.
Part 3+4: April 9 – 13, 2027

This workshop is an initiation into the paqokuna, the Andean Shaman/Priesthood mystical path, the lineage of the sacred mountains, and the five virtues of the mesa. Participants will also journey to and experience the hanaqpacha, the upper world beyond the physical, work with the unseen world there and deepen their connection to their own spiritual resources.

April 11 – 13, 2027
In this apprenticeship workshop, students will experience the upper world and learn about its lightning bolt of mystical illumination and the flow of kamasqa, the power of Creation. They will work with the elements, the forces of the universe, the body of Mother Earth, and sacred healing objects. In sacred reciprocity participants will create despachos to honor Mother Earth, the sacred mountains, the elements, the unseen world, and prepare for a paqowachu, a sacred pilgrimage.
Part 5: September 10 – 12, 2027

September 10 – 12, 2027
This workshop deepens participants’ experience of soul and spirit through ritual process, including the spiritual creation, activation and care of an apacheta. Students will work with the power of creation in the kaypacha or middle world, dimensionality and time, as well as with the three suns, and the hampikamayoq process (ancient breathing techniques for physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being and transformation). Participants will be further empowered by evoking both seen and unseen sources of cosmic awareness within their mesa, sacred objects and own being, and initiation into the lineage of this revered tradition.

Sacred reciprocity is € 2,800 for the full apprenticeship, if paid in full which includes:
Two (2) 5-day-intensives + one (1) weekend intensive (lodging and food are NOT included)

CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that schedules can change, and cancellations are sometimes necessary. When this occurs, tuition will be refunded less cancellation fee according to the following schedule:
500 EUR cancellation fee up until 4 weeks prior to the first day of class. No refunds for cancellations made less than 4 weeks prior or no-show. (In case of family emergency or illness we will put your tuition towards a future apprenticeship.)
All cancellations must be in writing, by email that has been acknowledged and responded to by us. Cancellation dates are the date of an email response by us. Refunds will be processed within 2 weeks of request.
LOCATION
Mittenwald is a beautiful traditional bavarian town. Very romantic and picturesque. Surrounded by stunning mountains of the Karwendel (see picture below) it makes the perfect location for this earth-based apprenticeship.

Sanctioned TeacherChio’s passion for healing started in 1992 when she became a Physical Therapist specializing in neurological and vestibular rehabilitation. Her devotion to healing guided her to look into other modalities, eventually leading her to European Shamanism in 2014, opening her up to Spirit in a profound way.
In 2019, Chio was introduced to the significance of rituals and ceremonies through the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, a gateway to a heart centered connection with the Lineages of South America.
Having a great grandmother who was sought out for her midwifery and herbal healing skills, Chio’s family lineage is one of community healing. She is immensely honored to be of service to Pachamama and to all life on Pachamama. She embodies compassion and guides students through this multi-layered tradition while providing a supportive space for personal healing and transformation.
Chio was born in the mountain city of Riobamba, Ecuador, and has maintained a deep connection with Chimborazo and Altar Apukuna (Mountains) of her birth – the lineage of the Andean traditions is embedded within her DNA.
She now resides in Sacramento, California and offers remote healing services, please contact her directly.

Host and Auxilio
Katharina always sensed that this world was magical—that something vast and ancient existed beyond what the eyes could see. She truly began her search for it in her early twenties. Backpacking through much of Eastern Europe, she rekindled her connection with Pachamama. Floating with the fish and singing with the birds, something within her shifted. The separation between her human form and nature began to dissolve.
Her heart longed for a path devoted to life on this planet. Katharina kept looking and finally found an answer in 2023, in a Mongolian yurt in Ontario, Canada. There, her teacher, Naty Howard, introduced her to the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, and Katharina felt that a significant part of her had come home.
Peru had been calling her for years, and she felt deeply grateful to receive the teachings of the Great Mystery and our beloved Pachamama through the Andean cosmovision. After completing her foundational apprenticeship in Canada, spirit guided her during her paqowachu to return to the European continent.
Now, she aspires to be one thread of light—helping weave the teachings of the ancient ones of Peru with the wisdom that lies partly dormant here in Europe.
Katharina currently lives in the Westerwald region of Germany.
